For 2 : 3 : 5, the total is 10 parts. The percentages are 20%, 30% and 50%. You can use the same method for project allocations or agreed shares.
The ratio 3 : 2 gives shares of 60% and 40% of the combined total. Asking what percentage 3 is of 2 gives a different answer: 150%. This tool calculates shares of the combined total.
Decimal inputs work: 0.5 : 1.5 gives 25% and 75%. Results display up to six decimal places. Three equal shares each display 33.333333%, so the rounded values may not sum to exactly 100%.
