Enter a tax rate if you want an estimated checkout total. With a $60 sale price and 8.25% tax, tax is $4.95 and the total is $64.95. Tax is calculated on the rounded discounted subtotal.
Use the same original price for competing percentage offers. Shipping, fixed-dollar coupons, and other checkout fees are not included. A lower advertised percentage does not always imply a lower total when the starting prices differ.
Two discounts are usually applied one after the other. An $80 item reduced 25% becomes $60; another 10% off that is $54, not $52. For a second discount, enter the first sale price as the new original price. Actual store and tax rules may differ.
